Gordon Kennedy
brings over 20 years of teaching experience to Janis Studios. His experience and knowledge will help young musicians gain the skills they will need to form a solid music foundation

Randy Carnahan
began teaching at Janis Music in 1992. Specializing in String instruments, Randy teaches Violin, Viola, Upright Bass, Guitar and Piano. Randy has received his Bachelors degree and is working for a Masters in Music from U.C. Santa Cruz.



Henry Morones
 has been playing drums since the age of 14.  Rock, Jazz, Latin and Alternative are just some of his forte.  Henry has performed with Entourage, Kalico, The Marvin Zeller Group and Peace Pipe.

Tim Janis
has been performing professionally most of his life.  Tim has been teaching guitar for over 30 years and now brings his expertise to Janis Studios. Tim teaches Guitar and Performance Techniques.

James Stewart
has played guitar over 7 yrs. and has 2 yrs. of music theory at MJC. He has performed in numerous bands from rock to musical theatre as well as accompanying student at their recitals. His knowledge will help students discover new aspects of their instrument

Mike Reeves
graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1998 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. Mike has been involved in music since the age of six and has been teaching Piano, Guitar and bass Guitar for seven years.  Mikes passion for teaching music is right at home at Janis Studios.

 Cristophi Hogan
has been playing the piano and singing since the age of six.  She has received superior markings for her vocal and piano performances through the California Music Educators Association.  She has been helping musicians of all ages gain a firm understanding of the fundamentals of music for the past seven years.

Mark Hatchfield
Has a Degree in communications {audio-video & music} and has performed professionally on guitar & bass for 30 + years.  Mark is fluent in most popular styles, and has taught both young & old, beginning to advanced, tailoring the lesions to fit each student’s individual abilities & needs.

Laurel Dalzell has played violin for over 12 years. She has an AA in music from Ohlone College and has been performing with college and church orchestras since 1997 and loves working with kids.
